Description
Comforting and homey, dried heather and earthy, country pottery bring the nostalgia of autumn with the smell of crisp, fragrant air and the feel of warm sweaters.
About Teapots: Beyond the graceful shape of the teapot that demonstrates so elegantly the innate principle of form following function, the ritual of tea time itself holds rich meaning for the artist. As a poor and neglected child in the 1950s, one of the few bright spots of Holly’s childhood were her twice yearly visits with her grandmother. Grandmother was lovely and graceful, with an artist soul and she demonstrated that even a modest life could be made beautiful with a little civility and an artist touch. For Holly, the daily observation of afternoon tea with her grandmother became the symbol of this truth – tea time as a ritual of shared civility passed down for generations and spanning nearly all cultures.
