In this rare, overtly philosophical piece the artist juxtaposes the colorful abundance of a well stocked pantry with shadowy scenes of human suffering and misery. Beyond the obvious need of food for the survival of the human body, the artist would propose that if civilization is to survive the human soul must also be fed.
